The York Regional Archives contains a wealth of historical documentary material such as York Cemetery records, Microfiche copies of Births, Deaths and Marriages, early Rate Books for both the Town and District and early Maps and Plans of York.

There is a library of books and other publications covering various aspects of York’s early historical development along with early editions of York’s historical newspapers such as the Eastern Districts Chronicle (now available for viewing on microfilm), the York Leader and other periodicals.

Research can be undertaken by our skilled volunteers, fees are applicable
